Bucket List: Fall 2011

Here’s a list I made of things that I hope to do while I’m abroad. Feel free to suggest new additions in the comment box!

1. Eat with a Danish family. many wonderful meals with Mette’s family when I visited their home, Nov 17-21
2. Go to the beach. visit to Bellevue Aug 25; visit to Amager Strandpark Sept 16; swimming at Bellevue Sept 18
3. Travel by boat. in addition to two Copenhagen canal tours, we had to use the ferry to get to Helsingborg, Sweden when I went to a hockey game Dec 8
4. Travel by train. along with frequent public tranportation in Copenhagen, I took the train to the west coast of Denmark and back, Nov 17-21
5. See & photograph the Northern Lights. Experienced the Aurora Borealis on Oct 22 in Tromsø, Norway
6. Stay up until sunrise. (It’s going to get harder as the days get shorter!) Watched the sun rise after TDC on Nov 13 at DTU
7. Go to a concert. Attended Sensation 2011 in Copenhagen Oct 29
8. Have a conversation in Danish.
9. Make a new pen pal.
10. SCUBA Dive in Europe. Refresher course and dive at Amager Strandpark Oct 16, first full wet suit and cold water dive
